"Just because you're a journalist you are not exempted from assassination, if you're a son of a bitch," ito naman ang naging pahayag ni Duterte noong May 31 na nagsimula ng galit ng publiko.

“Given the nature of the Filipino, sometimes they resort to violence. And the Constitution cannot protect you from violence. What has not been stated (by Duterte) is that these people who violated the law by employing violence must be brought to justice,” ito naman ang dagdag na pahayag ni Pimentel patungkol sa issue.
Ayon kay Pimentel na ang gusto lang namang sabihin ng President-elect ay maging sino ka man, kung gumamit ka ng dahas ay di ka ma proprotektahan ng kontistusyon.
