"Just because you're a journalist you are not exempted from assassination, if you're a son of a bitch," ito naman ang naging pahayag ni Duterte noong May 31 na nagsimula ng galit ng publiko.

“Given the nature of the Filipino, sometimes they resort to violence. And the Constitution cannot protect you from violence. What has not been stated (by Duterte) is that these people who violated the law by employing violence must be brought to justice,” ito naman ang dagdag na pahayag ni Pimentel patungkol sa issue.
Ayon kay Pimentel na ang gusto lang namang sabihin ng President-elect ay maging sino ka man, kung gumamit ka ng dahas ay di ka ma proprotektahan ng kontistusyon.
Even before the onset of this presidential campaign, I and my family have openly campaigned for the president elect in the NCR and especially in Paranaque City. I knew that President Duterte would be a strong president, and to me and my family, that is what is needed to make this nation morally and spiritually sound again. In fact, as devoted Kingdom citizens of our Lord and Almighty Father JESUS CHRIST thru our beloved Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, we have been deeply involved in the minute campaigns in our own areas of responsibility, because we believe that President Duterte is the spiritual King David of our times. We will continually pray and ask our Heavenly Father to guide and spiritually instruct our Honorable incoming president, for it is what he needs to face this gargantuan task of crime, corruption in government and decades long divisiveness that has been the perennial problem of our beloved country. We, led by our beloved Pastor, will be on the sidelines supporting him with our daily prayers that he be kept in good health with heavenly wisdom, knowledge and understanding, for after all, he is a close friend of the Appointed Son of God, together with all the appointed sons and daughters of our Father Almighty in heaven. We pray and fast, that our incoming administration led by our incoming President always be within the center of God Almighty's Perfect Will. He shall be a father to this nation for the next six years, and as a father, his good example shall be looked up always by this nation. God Almighty bless this nation; God Almighty bless our incoming president!
